Life’s End. MRS. RECKNAGEL, 83, WAS LONTIME RESIDENT OF REMSEN.
Mrs. Emma Recknagel, 83, longtime Remsen resident, died Saturday at Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars. She had been hospitalized for a week after failing health for several years.
She was born Jan. 2, 1883, at Keystone, Iowa. Her husband Leonard Recknagel was a barber in Remsen for 50 years prior to his death Sept. 3, 1959.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen. Burial will be in Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday and friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors are as son, Orville Recvknagel of Oklahoma City, Okla; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Vivian) Wuebben of Remsen and Mrs. Lois Wixon of Austin, Tex., and a grandson, Lane Wuebben of Santa Barbara, Calif.
