Miss Emma Schmidt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmidt, of our city, died at 9:15 o’clock this morning after a brief illness with Bright’s disease. Emma was twenty-one years of age. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon. After the ceremonies at the residence at 2 o’clock, services were held in St. Paul Evangelical church. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, May 31, 1912, page 2.
