Mrs. Henry Schorg, Remsen, Passed Away Following Operation.
Mrs. Henry Schorg, a well known and prominent Remsen woman, passed away Wednesday following an operation at a Sioux City hospital. At the time of her death she was 61 years old.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the home and at 2 o’clock from the Lutheran church at Remsen with Rev. Noack officiating.
She leaves to mourn besides her bereaved husband, eight children who are: Mrs. Wm. Asmussen, Arley and Emory Schorg, all of Le Mars; Mrs. Ted Ducker, of Ft. Dodge; Mrs. C. B. Crause of Storm Lake; Mrs. Maybelle Pietz of Marcus and Leonard and Weldon of Remsen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Doss and one brother, John, of Remsen.
Mrs. Schorg was a devoted wife and mother and was well known in a large circle of friends who will regret her passing. – Le Mars Globe Post, June 27, 1940, page 1.
