Life’s End. SET RIES FRIDAY – FOR DANIEL SCHUMACHER – STRANGULATION VICTIM AT CLEAR LAKE SCHOOL.
Funeral services for Daniel H. Schumacher, 29, former Remsen resident killed Tuesday after noon at Clear Lake when he was strangled beneath a dumb waiter on which he was working at the high school, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s evangelical Lutheran church at Remsen.
Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Mr. Schumacher was born Nov. 1, 1930, at Remsen.
He resided at Des Moines where he was employed by the Chenoweth-Kern Electric service.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Geraldine Nothem Schumacher; a daughter, Dana; three sons, Stephen, David and John; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Schumacher of Remsen; three brothers, Robert and James of Remsen and Paul of Sioux Falls; and a sister, Mrs. Walter Letsche of Marcus. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, March 31, 1960, page 6.
