Obituary. George Peters.
George Peters, 83, Le Mars, died Tuesday (Aug. 1, 1972) at the University hospital, Iowa City. He had been hospitalized since July 19.
Mr. Peters resided in Le Mars the last seven years. Prior to that he lived in the Remsen, Granville area.
A retired farmer, Mr. Peters worked for a grain elevator at Granville after his retirement from farming. He was born May 16, 1889, north of Remsen, the son of the late Henry and Elfrieda Peters.
Mr. Peters was preceded in death by two children in infancy, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Moeller funeral home.
Pallbearers were Weldon Ohlendorf, Elmer Kroeger, Lyle Schorg, Vernon Meyer, James Cave and Floyd Wallin.
