Services Held Friday in Remsen Church for Miss Alma Moeller
Remsen Bell Enterprise: Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Miss Alma Moeller, 57, formerly of Casper, Wyo., who died in the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary Moeller, last Tuesday evening.
Miss Moeller came from Casper last June because of ill health.
Born in Remsen November 19, 1892, she was the eldest daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Moeller. As a child she attended Remsen public school and received some of her high school education here. At the age of 16 years she went to make her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claus Sievers, in Spokane, Wash. She attended high school in that city, and after graduation she joined her brother, Alonzo, who was in the mercantile business at Glenrock, Wyo.
After five years in Glenrock she went to Casper, Wyo., where the brother also located later. In recent years she was employed as a saleslady and buyer for the J. C. Penney Co. in Casper, until sickness overtook her and she returned to Remsen.
Surviving Miss Moeller are her stepmother, and three brothers and four sisters. They are Fred Moeller, Remsen; Alonzo Moeller, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Miss Emma Moeller, Sioux City; Miss Ella Moeller, Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Kenneth (Beatrice) Hornung, Chicago; Ervin Moeller, Sioux City and Mrs. Harley (Dorothy) Neir, Marcus.
Preceding her in death besides her parents, was a brother, Alfred P. Moeller, who died in 1943.
Services were at the Moeller funeral home at 1:30 o’clock Friday followed by rites in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Paul Wuebben. Interment was in the Remsen cemetery. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, March 7, 1950, page 6.
