Albert Klingbeil, a well known Remsen man, passed away last Friday at a Sioux City hospital. Death was due to heart trouble. The deceased was 64 years old. Although in poor health for the past four weeks and a patient at St. Vincent’s hospital for three weeks, his death came suddenly and unexpectedly. Mr. Klingbeil was a native of Germany and at the age of nine years came to the United States with his parents. He made his home with his parents until his father passed away in 1902, on a farm ten miles southeast of town. After that, his mother, Mrs. Klingbeil, moved to Remsen and he made his home with her until 1910, when she died. He made his home later with various relatives and friends. Albert Klingbeil was a man of quiet disposition and his friendly manner gained him many warm friends who were shocked to learn of his untimely death. He is survived by one brother and four sisters. The body was brought to Remsen Saturday morning and funeral services took place Sunday afternoon. Services were held in the Christ Lutheran church, the Rev. A Noack conducting the services. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, May 2, 1930, page 6.
