Area Deaths. MRS. ANNA KRAMER – REMSEN’S OLDEST RESIDENT – DIES AT AGE 99 MONDAY IN HOSPITAL. Funeral Service Set – Wednesday Afternoon In Church At Remsen.
Mrs. Anna E. Kramer, 99, said to be Remsen’s oldest resident, died Monday morning at Sacred Heart hospital where she had been a patient for eight days.
Mrs. Kramer was born October 2, 1861, in Bern, Switzerland. She had lived in Remsen 72 years. In October of 1880 she was married to the late John Kramer.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss Nelle Kramer and Mrs. Louise Vanden Brink, both of Remsen, and Mrs. Lillian Roberts of Tacoma, Wash.; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church. Rv. Paul Wuebben officiated. Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Nov. 1, 1960, page 1.
