Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran church at Remsen for Jacob John Kappler, 83, farmer south of Remsen who died Friday at the Le mars Sacred Heart hospital after a sickness of about 10 days.
Rev. Alfred Christiansen officiated and the Moeller funeral home had charge of arrangements.
Survivors are the widow; three daughters, Miss Anna, Miss Marie and Mrs. Ray Schut, and two sons, Louis and George, all of Remsen. – Le Mars Globe Post, April 9, 1956, page 13.
