Edna Friske of Hawarden died May 10, 2003.

Services were held Tuesday, May 13, 6 p.m., at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron with Rev. William Kallestad officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Casket bearers were Gary Hillrichs, William Balk, Jim Renken, - Jerome Nevgebauer, Jack Friske, and Bill Dolan.

Edna Anna Friske was born May 4, 1917 in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Gustav and Anna [Roloffs) Friske. Edna was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. She loved stuffed animals and always
loved to get cards and mail. Edna made Hillcrest Care Center her Home since 1963.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Frieda Schald, Mary Balk, and Mabel Hillrichs Klemme; and two brothers, Arthur and Paul Friske.
