JOHANN J. BAACK DIES WEDNESDAY

LIVED IN THIS COUNTRY FOR 46 YEARS—IN LE MARS LAST EIGHTEEN YEARS

Johann J. Baack, age 75 years, 6 months and 24 days, a pioneer resident of this community, passed away at his home at 46 First ave. N. W., on Wednesday, bronchial penumonla was the cause of his death. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the St. John's Lutheran church, Rev. J. J. Vollmar officiating. Booty's funeral directors have charge.

Mr. Baack was born in Mecklenburg, German on April 30, 1851, and was educated and grew to manhood in Mecklenburg, in April, 1876 he was united In marriage to Miss Wilhelmlna Warneke, who with the children and relatives, mourn his loss.

In the year 1880 Mr. and Mrs. Baack moved to this country and settled on a farm in Reading twp., Sioux county. Here they farmed until 1908 and retired and moved to LeMars/ where they have been living for the last 18 years. Last April Mr. and Mrs. Baack celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Six children were born to this union, two preceding their father in death. Mrs. Anna Mondelkow and Mrs. Alvina Wlnterfeld passed away several years ago. The children who are living are: Charles Baack, Struble; John Baack of Lake Benton, Minn.; Mrs. Amelia Alberts and Mrs. Bertha Wlnterfeld of Craig. Mrs. C. Baack, a daughter-in-law, Henry Baack, a brother; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive.

Deceased was a well known resident of this county and was a faithfulmember of St. John's Lutheran church. Being an early settler of this community, deceased leaves many old friends who join with the relatives in mourning his loss.
