Death Claims Mrs. Mary Sweeney In Sioux City Hospital

Mrs. Mary Sweeney, 76, Hinton, longtime resident of Plymouth county, died Sunday at a hospital in Sioux City after a brief illness.

Mrs. Sweeney was born September 12, 1870, at Lake Geneva, Wis. When a child she came to Plymouth County, where She since had resided. She was, married to Thomas Sweeney December 26, 1892, at St. Joseph's church in Sioux City. Mr. Sweeney died in 1933. She was a member of the Altar Society of St. Joseph's Church at Ellendale and the mother of 12 children, two of whom have died.

Survivors are seven sons. Rev. Father Sweeney, Sioux City, Daniel and George P., both of Hinton Thomas H. of Akron; Paul W. of Moville; James J. and Peter M., both of Sioux Falls, S: D.; three daughters. Sister M. Consolota, O. S. F., of Templeton; Mrs. Eileen Vondrak of Hinton and Miss Isadora of Sioux City, and 10 grandchildren.

The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Monday and Tuesday nights at the Larkin funeral home in Sioux City, where the body will remain until the time of the funeral.
