Funeral services for Mrs. John Harnack, 63, longtime resident of the Remsen community, who died Saturday at a nursing home at Marcus, Ia., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran church, Rev. Alfred Christiansen will officiate. Burial will be in City cemetery there.
The body was taken to the Moeller funeral home.
Mrs. Harnack was born September 30, 1894. She was married to John Harnack March 8, 1921, in Remsen. She resided on a farm south of Remsen.
Survivors besides the widower are two brothers, Frank Lang of Remsen and John Lang of Anita, N.D.; a sister, Mrs. Rose Brandt of Bakersfield, Cal.; a step-sister, Mrs. Mabel Tonsfeldt of Remsen, and two step brothers, Henry Cook of Marcus and David Cook of Iowa City. – Le Mars Globe-Post, May 19, 1958, page 4.
