DEATH CLAIMS REMSEN YOUTH. HENRY A. HARNACK WAS SUFFERER FROM HEART TROUBLE PAST TWO YEARS.
Henry A. Harnack, prominent young Remsen farmer, died in the Sacred Heart hospital, Le Mars, Wednesday night at 6 o’clock, after having been confined there for two weeks, suffering with heart trouble. Mr. Harnack was 36 years old.
Mr. Harnack has been afflicted with heart trouble for nearly a years and for some time past was unable to do much of the strenuous work about his farm. Only two weeks ago…he was taken to the hospital and a group of friends and relatives gathered and cribbed the remaining corn for him.

Friends and relatives of Henry A. Harnack, living south of Remsen, did quick work of a corn field recently on the Harnack farm, husking 1200 bushels in five hours. Mr. Harnack has been in poor health for some time and last Thursday went to a Le Mars hospital, where he will be confined for some time. On learning of this predicament his friends, 23 in number, gathered at the home and soon had the remaining 1200 bushels of corn cribbed. – Le Mars Globe-Post, Jan. 2, 1928, page 8.
Note: Henry’s wife was Caroline (Lang) Harnack. His children were Ruth, Kenneth, Robert and Curtis Harnack.
