William McInnis Dies After Stroke
Member Of Johnson Pioneer Family
William McInnis, pioneer Plymouth County resident, died at his home in Johnson Township Tuesday night about midnight following a stroke. Mr. McInnis suffered a stroke about a month ago and a second stroke on Sunday was the direct cause of his death.
William McInnis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Angus McInnis, was born in Johnson Township September 3, 1873, and was 72 years , 1 month and 13 days of age at the time of his death. He grew to young manhood in Johnson Township and on December 23, 1908, was married to Mamie Winchester. Soon after their marriage they moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but returned to Plymouth County more, than 15 years ago.
Deceased is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Loona Wallin of Sioux Falls and one son, Sgt. Richard McInnis, now stationed at Muroc, California, two sisters, Mrs. L. Taylor of Akron, Mrs. Dollie Richards of Brunsville and one brother, Alex, of Johnson Township, and three grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at home and 1:30 o'clock at the Plymouth Presbyterian Church with Rev. Theodore Seibert officiating. Burial will be in the Plymouth Presbyterian Cemetery.
