Ida M. Morehead, 87, Sioux City, died Sunday (Jan. 22, 1984) in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at I p.m. Wednesday in Concordia Lutheran Church. Rey. Richard W. Pingel will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Akron, Iowa. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Morehead, the former Ida M. Hummel, was born May 29, 1896, in Westfield. She married Guy Clark Morehead Oct. 27,1914, in Sioux City. They farmed in the Akron area for 28 years. He died Feb. 7,1942, in Akron. She came to Sioux City in 1945 from Hawarden. She worked at T.S. Martins for 20 years, then at Younkers for five years, retiring in 1981. Mrs. Morehead was a member of the 20 Year Club at Younkers.

Survivors are three sons, James L. of Sioux City, Robert G. and Keith S., both of Hawarden; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (JoAnn) Perera and Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Hockett, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Jerry (Mary Lou) Lundy of Gresham, Ore.; 26 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
