Otto Laurence Stibral, 77, of Akron died Monday, Oct. 25, 1993, at the Akron Care Center after a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron with Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 8:30 p.m. at Schroeder Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers are Robert Utesch, Charles Utesch, James Utesch, Arval Jurgensen, Daniel Searls, and Milo Koerner. Music will be "My God and I and "This Is My Father's World," Bob Brown, vocalist with Marietta Nielsen as organist. Congregational hymns are "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art."

Mr. Stibral was born March 29, 1916, in chiciago, Ill., the son of Frank and Alma (Drabek) Stibral. He lived in Tabor and Hudson, S.D. areas. He married Wilma Verros Jan. 10, 1944, in Orange City. The couple farmed at Hawarden and in 1949 moved to a farm near Akron. They retired in 1978 and moved to Akron in 1980

Mr. Stibral was an associate member of American Legion Post 186 of Akron. He was a former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Chatsworth.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Arlene and her husband, Richard Lindberg of Westfield; three grandchildren, David, Troy, and Kristina; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Alvin of Midwest City, Okla., and Willard of South Sioux City, Neb.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Laurence and William; and a brother, Arthur.
