Life’s End. MRS. ELLA HAACK WAS LONGTIME RESIDENT OF REMSEN.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Haack, 92, Remsen resident who had resided in Le mars from 1952 through 1962, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen.
Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home. Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate.
Mrs. Haack died Sunday at Sacred Heart hospital where she had been a patient for 12 days.
Ella Kirchner was born June 12, 1873, at Keystone, Iowa, Benton county. She lived in the Remsen area most of her life. She was married to Claus Jacob Haack, who died in 1930.
She had made her home with a son, Adolph, in Le Mars from 1952 to 1962, when she moved back to Remsen where she resided with her sons.
Survivors are three sons, Adolph, Le Mars; Clarence and Elmer, Remsen; a daughter, Mrs. William Raveling, Le Mars; a sister, Mrs. Alvina Warner, Rock Rapids; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Jan. 25, 1966, page 2.
