DEATHS. Etta Haack, a daughter of Mrs. Cecelia Haack, residing seven miles northeast of Remsen died at her home Monday morning after a week’s illness with kidney trouble. She was 38 years of age, and is survived by her mother, one sister and three brothers. The funeral was held today, conducted by Rev. A. H. Juergens of St. Paul’s church.
Etta Haack was born Sept 23, 1884 on a farm in Benton county Iowa, and came to this community with her parents at an early age. She was an invalid all her life and was physically helpless. The young lady, in spite of her severe afflictions, was of a cheerful disposition and never showed any signs of complaint over her condition. Her death is a severe shock to the family, especially her mother who was her constant companion.
The funeral was held Wednesday and was conducted by Rev. A. H. Juergens of St. Paul’s Lutheran church. The usual short services were conducted at the home at 11 o’clock, followed by church services at 12 o’clock. Interment was made in the Remsen cemetery.
