The sad news was received here yesterday by relatives and friends of the death of Harve D. Searls at his home in Westside, Iowa, after a brief illness of influenza. His mother, Mrs. E. J. Searls of Sioux City, was called to his bedside Saturday. The deceased spent his boyhood and young manhood with his parents, and learned telegraphy under his father, the late E. J. Searls, who was devote agent here for about thirty-five years.
