Life’s End. M.M. GRIEPENBURG, 74, LONGTIME REMSEN REALTOR AND INSURANCE AGENT, DIES-SERVICES WEDNESDAY.
Milton M. Griepnburg, 74, widely known Remsen business man, died this morning at his home, following an illness of two years. The veteran realtor and insurance man had not been active in business for several years.
Funeral services will be Wednesday and are being arranged by the Moeller funeral home.
Mr. Griepenburg was born in 1884 in Holte, Ost Friesland, Germany and came to this country at the age of eight. His parents farmed near Kingsley for a time and later moved to Remsen.
He had been active in the real estate and insurance business in Remsen for a half a century and served for 20 years on the Board of Education.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. C. C. Bellmyer and Mrs. Walter Sostarich, of Minneapolis and two grandchildren. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Dec. 29, 1958, page 1.
