Rites Held Tuesday For Former Resident Of This Vicinity
Mrs. Bert Peck, 63, of near Dakota City, Nebr., a former resident of Akron and Westfield vicinities, died Friday, Sept. 12, in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Lillian Clara Butler was born November 4, 1894, in Elk Point, S. D. She married Bert Peck in Sioux City, March 25, 1913. They farmed in western Plymouth County for a number of years before moving to Dakota City. Mrs. Peck was a member of the Assembly of God church in South Sioux City.
Survivors include the widower; six daughters, Mrs. 'William Johnson, Mrs. Hubert Kulvik and Mrs. Lloyd Kamradt, all of Sioux City; Mrs. Bernice Clark of Sioux Falls, S. D., Mrs. Eugene Brewer, of Elk Point, S. D., and Miss Marilyn Peck of Dakota City; four sons, Donald G., Robert W,, and Bernard R., all of Sioux City, and Virgil W., of Dakota City; three brothers, Peter Butler of Chula Vista, Calif., Clarence and Kenneth, both of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Herb Anderson, of Sioux City, Mrs. Ella Randall of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Marjorie Matouset of Phoenix, Ariz., and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Assembly of God Church in South Sioux City, Rev. B. F. Correll, officiating. Interment was in Akron Riverside Cemetery.
