Former county official buried today at Remsen.
Irving H. Schulte, 84, Remsen, died Friday (March 16, 1973) at Floyd Valley hospital. He had been hospitalized five weeks.
He had at one time been a Plymouth county treasurer and had served on the Plymouth county board of supervisors for 20 years.Funeral seravices were Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen, with Rev. Paul Wuebben officiating.
Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home of Remsen.Pallbearers were Vance Harnack, Earl Wiebke, Arnold Erichsen, Donald Mohning, Merlin Mohning and Roman Offerman.
He was born Jan. 9, 1889. A retired farmer, he had lived at Remsen the last 26 years.Mr. Schulte was married to the former Grave Merriman Feb. 24, 1917, in Le Mars.
Survivors are his wife, Grace; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Maxine) Neuenschwander of Remsen; a granddaughter and a great-grandson. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, March 19, 1973, page 11.

Funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 19 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen with the Rev. Paul Wuebben officiated. Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery under the direction of Moeller Funeral Home of Remsen.
Mr. Schulte was born January 19, 1889. A retired farmer, he had lived in Remsen for the past 26 years. He was married to the former Grace Merriman on February 24, 1917, at Le Mars. He had at one time been Plymouth County Treasurer and had served on the Plymouth County board of Supervisors for 20 years.
Survivors include the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Maxine) Neuenschwander of Remsen, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
