Lubben, Mary 1889 - 1972

LUBBEN, PRULL, SCHWENGELS

Mrs. Mary Lubben, 83, 126 First Ave. NE, died Tuesday (Sept. 5,1972) at Floyd Valley Hospital after an extended illness.

The former Mary Prull, she was born Aug. 31, 1889, at Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Schwengels) Prull. She lived at Parkersburg until age 7 when she moved to Britt. She resided there until she married Henry Lubben Dec. 17, 1914, at Britt. They resided at Hawarden until Mrs. Lubben moved to Le Mars in 1950.

Mr. Lubben died June 25, 1948. Mrs. Lubben was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church and A.L.C.W.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John's American Lutheran Church, Le Mars, with Rev. Arnold Imbrock and Rev. Donald Deines officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery, Akron, under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home in Le Mars. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Ella) Kuehn and Esther Lubben. both of Le Mars, and Mrs. C. W. (Irene) Jerman of Denver; a son, Harold of Sioux Falls; a brother, William Prull of Britt, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, two brothers and a sister.
