Life’s End. HERMAN BOGE, 88, LONGTIME REMSEN RESIDENT, SUCCUMBS.
Funeral services for Herman Boge, 88, Remsen will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church.
Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate. Burial will be in Remsen city cemetery under the direction of the Moeller funeral home.
Mr. Boge died Wednesday afternoon at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars following a long illness. He was born Nov. 1, 1878 in Benton county, and settled in the Remsen area in the early part of the century. He married Marie Detels, who died in 1953. Mr. Boge was a mechanic and operated an auto repair shop in Remsen until the big Remsen fire of 1936 destroyed his shop. He then retired.
