Funeral services for John L. Willer, age 79, were held Thursday morning, March 23 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Rev. Ralph Burdette officiating.

Mrs. Stuart Harris as vocalist sang "What A Friend We Have to Jesus" and "The Lord Is My Shepherd" accompanied by Mrs. Orin Harris. Pallbearers were Ted Willer, Emil Willer, Julius Wilier, Virgil Willer, Ed Willer and Stanley Willer. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilier died March 21 at the nursing home in Akron.

He was born December 24, 1892, at Akron. On January 6, 1915 he was married to Bessie Ralsh in Sioux City. Mrs. Willer died In 1970. Mr. Willer farmed near Akron most of his life.

Survivors are: Daughters, Mrs. John Dirks of Hawarden, Mrs. Vera McMahon of Akron, Mrs. John Hamman of Novato, Calif., Mrs. Marvin Waiters of Ocheyedan, Mrs. Darrel Caskey of Westfield; son, Dwain of Akron; brothers, Henry of Akron, Frank of Le Mars; sisters, Mrs. Clare Hunt of Worthington, Minn., Mrs. Fred Stracke of Stuart, Nebr.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
