Mrs. Harold C. Strong,76, Tempo, Ariz. formerly of Sioux City, died last Thursday at a nursing home at Alcester, SD after a brief illness.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Elk Point. The Rev. John Hopp officiated. Burial was in the Akron, Iowa, cemetery under direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Elk Point.

The former Lucy M. Thornton, Mrs. Strong was born January 7,1894 at Hawarden Iowa. She was married November 7, 1923 at Akron. Mrs. Strong attended Augustana College it Sioux Falls, S.D., and she taught school in Lincoln and Union counties, S.D. She vas a resident of Canton, S.D., Akron and Sioux City before moving to Tempo In October 1930.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter Mrs. Orma May Holden of Elk Point; a son, Wayland T. of Landsdale, Pa.; a sister, Miss Orpha Thornton of Canton, and grandchildren.
