Obituaries
Mrs. Cecile Strong
Funeral services for Mrs. Cecile Strong, 68, longtime resident at Akron who died Sunday at a Rockford, Illinois hospital following a brief sickness were at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Lewison Funeral home at Akron. Rev. Donald Roberts officiated and burial was in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs Strong was born December 20, 1894 at Akron and was married to Lyle Strong January 14, 1914 at a farm home in Union county, S. D. They lived in Akron and Sioux City before moving to Rockford in 1955. He preceded her in death in 1960.

Survivors include two daughters Mrs Joyce Lines of Rockford and Mrs Shirley Davis of Florence, SD. a son Donald of Baker, Oregon; two sisters, Miss Muriel Bennett and Mrs Verna Lewison both of Akron; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
