RMESEN, Iowa – Mrs. Charlie V. Hansen, 79, of Remsen, died Wednesday in a hospital in Orange City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen. The Rev. Julian Swanson will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen City Cemetery under direction of the Moeller Funeral Home of Remsen.
Mrs. Hansen, the former Lillian Hinspeter, was born April 1, 1900 in Marcus.
She was married Sept. 4, 1923, In Remsen. They farmed in the Granville area before retiring to Remsen in 1963. Mr. Hansen died in 1973.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ray of Marcus and Murl of Granville; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Merna) Smith of Minneapolis, Minn.; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clara Peters and one brother, Ira, both of Marcus. - family news clipping, unsourced
