UNION. (Special Correspondence). The funeral of little Marvin Baldes, who died last Thursday from the effects of blood poisoning, was held Saturday at Remsen. A number of friends from Union attended the services. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, June 26, 1925, page 4.
Child Lock-Jaw Victim. Kingsley News-Times: The little son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Baldes is in a hospital in Le Mars in a serious condition from tetanus. The little fellow stepped on a nail last week at his home. The wound was carefully dressed but lockjaw developed and he was taken to the hospital where specialists hold little hope for his recovery. – Le Mars Globe Post, June 18, 1925.
