Augusta C.E. Piepgrass, wife of Harm Johnson, died at the farm home of her relatives, Hansen- Erichsen family, on the afternoon of Saturday, October 10th, at the age of 26 years. Decedent had been ailing two years. Death has relieved her but brought deep sorrow to a devoted husband and two children, aged four and two years. She was born in Fuesing (?), Schleswig in 1882 and came to America in 1902 to become the wife of him who is now her surviving husband. Her father, four brothers and sisters reside in her native home. The funeral was held on Wednesday and the solemn obsequies were held by Rev. Dallman, of St. Paul church. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Oct. 20, 1908, page 2.
