Nick Hansen passed away at the home of his son, August Hansen, last Friday. He had been in ill health for the last few years. He was eighty-seven years of age. He is survived by his wife and two sons, August, of Remsen, and George, of Hemet, Calif. The funeral services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran church Sunday afternoon. Rev. Mr. and Mrs. George Hansen, of Hemet, California, are spending a few months in Remsen. They were called Remsen on account of the death of the late William Heitman. Mrs. Heitman and Mrs. Hansen are sisters. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, April 7, 1933, page 7.

Mr. and Mrs. George P. Hansen, of Hemet, Calif., arrived here Friday to attend the funeral of Wm. Heitman held Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen have lived in California for many years.
