MRS. MAUDE TARBOX, 94, WIDOW OF EARLY REMSEN PHOTOGRAPHER DEAD.
Mrs. Maude E. Tarbox 94, a Remsen resident for 30 (or 36?) years, died Thursday at Sacred Heart hospital.
Mrs. Tarbox was born in 1869. She moved to Remsen with her husband, where they operated a photography studio. They were missionaries in South America before that. He died 1937.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran church in Remsen. Rev. Alfred Christiansen will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery, under direction of Moeller funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Mr. M.E. Stapley of Bloomington, Ind. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, March 1, 1963, page 1.

Mrs. Maude Tarbox, 94, of Remsen passed away at the sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars, on Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack at her home on Sunday morning.
Mrs. Tarbox has lived in Remsen for the last 35 years.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1938 or 1939.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday afternoon at the Christ Lutheran church with Rev. Christiansen officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery, under the direction of the Moeller Funeral home in Remsen.
She is survived by one daughter Margarette of Bloomington, Ill. – Le Mars Globe Post, Feb. 28, 1963, page 17.
