Shortly after her death Mr. Jensen, with his family, came to the United States, settling first at Walcott, Iowa. They resided there for several years and later moved to Davenport, Iowa. Mr. Jensen worked at the tailor trade in a large factory at Davenport for thirty years and on account of his age he retired about three years ago, coming to Remsen to spend the remaining days with his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hoelck. Mr. Jensen was the father of eight children, four of whom are living. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, June 12, 1917, page 1.
