Life’s end. MRS. JOHN WITT, DIES AT HOSPITAL; RITES SET AT REMSEN
Funeral services for Mrs. John Witt, 72, of Remsen will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church.
Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home of Remsen.
Mrs. Witt died Tuesday at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars where she had resided as a patient for more than two months.
The former Edna Fromme, Mrs. Witt was born July 6, 1894 in Plymouth county. She came to Remsen in 1934 from a farm south of Remsen. She was married Sept. 19, 1916 to Mr. Witt. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary last September.
Survivors are her husband, who has been a patient at Floyd Valley hospital for several months; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Erichsen of Remsen; a brother, William Fromme of Remsen and two grandchildren, Carlyn and Cevon Erichsen. – Le Mars Globe-Post, Jan 12, 1967, page 12.
