Harold L. Kloster, 81, of Remsen, died unexpectedly Monday (Sept 16, 1985) at his home in Remsen.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen. Rev. Myron Herzberg will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen City Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Moeller Funeral Home in Remsen.

Mr. Kloster was born May 7, 1904, in Plymouth County to Chris P. and Christine Nielsen Kloster. He married Martha M. Bork March 3, 1931, in Marcus.

The couple farmed in Cherokee and Plymouth Counties for a number of years. They moved to Remsen in 1952 where he was a mechanic with Peters Implement Co. until retiring in 1969.

Mr. Kloster was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife of Remsen; a son, LaVerne of Dubuque; a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Carol Ann) Peters of Avoca; a brother, Jack of Remsen; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Nick Kloster; two sisters, Tina Miller and Herlig Nielsen, who died last Saturday, Sept 1; and a granddaughter.
