Obituary--Mrs. Richard Hodgson
Funeral services for Mrs. Richard (Velma) Hodgson, 58, rural LeMars, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, LeMars. Rev. Leonard Root will officiate and burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hodgson died June 13, 1983, at her home after a short illness.
Velma Darlene Wetrosky was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Stanton Township, Plymouth County, to Walter and Ester Fischer Wetrosky. She married Richard W. Hodgson March 5, 1946, at rural LeMars.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Christian Women's Club. She had ben a Stanton township resident her entire life.
Survivors are her husband Richard; three sons, Gerald, Rodney and Terry, all of LeMars; four grandsons and a sister, Mrs. Clay (Verjean) Heydon, Laurel, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
