Mrs. Mayme Helt, 70, of Sioux City, died Monday afternoon at a hospital at that place after a short inllness.
Mrs. Helt, the former Mayme Kovarna, was born
April 12, 1894, in Liberty Township, Plymouth County and moved to Sioux City in 1923. She was married to Merton Helt on November 25, 1933 in Sioux City. He died April 23, 1963.She was a beauty shop operator.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Annie Flannery and Mrs. Helen Hartman, both of Sioux City; five brothers, James, John, Adolph, George, and Harry Kovarna; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at the Anderson Funeral Home in Sioux City.
Rev. Richard Gist, pastor of the Melbourne E. U. B. Church officiated.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dr. Vernon Helt, Darvin Hartman, and Donald, Lester, Howard, and Richard Kovarna.
