Mrs. W. W. Burrill Dies Unexpectedly
Was Widow of Well Known Akron Man

Mr. and Mrs. John Alderson, residing 414 Second Avenue SW, received word yesterday of the death of their sister-in-law, Mrs. W. W. Burrill, well known resident of Akron.

Mrs. Burrill died in the Akron hospital where she has been since undergoing a minor operation two or three weeks ago. She was convalescing and death was unexpected and was due to a sudden heart attack.

Mrs. Burrill was about 66 years old. Her maiden name was Ella Stinton and she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Stinton, pioneer settlers in Pleasant Valley near Adaville. Mr. Stinton was a large landowner and later a banker in Akron.

Mrs. Burrill leaves two sons, Lowell, who is engaged in business in Akron, and Stanley, who lives in Los Angeles, Calif., and a brother, Ralph Stinton, of Santa Monica, Calif.

Her husband, W. W. Burill (sic--Burrill), well known clothing merchant in Akron for many years, died about four years ago from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The funeral arrangements were not completed last evening pending word from the relatives in California.

Last Rites Held Sunday For Ella Burrill, Esteemed Akron Woman

Akron Register-Tribune: Relatives and friends were grievously shocked by the sudden death of Mrs. Ella Burrill, widow of the late W. W. Burrill, at the Akron hospital at about 9 o'clock, Thursday morning, of heart failure. Having submitted to a herniaectomy about two weeks ago, she had been convalescing so satisfactorily that it was planned that she should return to her home that day.

Mrs. Burrill's parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Stinton, were among the early pioneer settlers of Plymouth county, near Adaville. She was one of Akron's best known and most highly esteemed women, and the sincerest sympathy of the community goes out to her sons, Lowell and Stanley; their families and other near relatives in their sudden bereavement.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 24, at 2:30 p.m., at her late home.
