Funeral Set Today for Sheldon Cousin of Gen. MacArthur

Sheldon, Ia--Special: Funeral services for Dan McArthur, 86, well known resident here and a cousin** of Gen. Douglas MacArthur, will be held at 2:30 p. m. Friday at the Temple mortuary with Rev. Harvey Travis, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating.

Mr. McArthur was born June 16, 1861, in Canada. He and Mrs. McArthur would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary May 7. He was employed many years at the old Sheldon Prairie Queen mill and later worked for the Farmers Oil Co. of Sheldon.

Survivors besides the widow include a son Miles of Sheldon.
