Frank Hughes Dies At Age 83
Death Follows Illness at Zimmerman Home

Frank M. Hughes, 83, a retired farm laborer, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Zimmerman Memorial home following an illness of several years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the Mauer Funeral home with the Rev. H. V. Bartz officiating. Burial will be in the City cemetery.

Mr. Hughes was born December 26, 1867 in Woodbine, Ill. He came to Plymouth county in 1883 and never married.

He is survived by two brothers, George Hughes of Haxtun, Colo., and Sherman Hughes of LeMars; two sisters, Alice Casler of Craig and Clara Henricksen of Alhambra, California.

Mr. Hughes' father, Hugh Hughes, was a well-known Civil war veteran.
