Dorothy Stevenson

Dorothy Stevenson, 81, of Spencer, died Thursday, June 16, 1994, at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Spencer, Iowa.

Mrs. Stevenson, the former Dorothy Garr, was born May 1, 1913, at Craig. She had lived in Idaho, Oregon and California before moving to LeMars in 1938. She married Clarence Stevenson on April 1, 1945, in LeMars. He died Sept. 4, 1981. She then moved to Spencer to live with her daughter.

Survivors are two grandchildren, Ryan and Kirby Runkle, of Spencer. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Karen Runkle, in June 1983.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at LeMars Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of LeMars is in charge of the arrangements.
