Mrs. C. E. Moore Taken By Death
Well Know Seney Resident Dies After Long Illness

Mrs. Moore, 57, wife of Clarence E. Moore, life long resident of Plymouth county, died at her home in Seney, Monday evening. Death came unexpectedly although she had been suffering for some time with a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, C. E. Moore, a son, Floyd Moore, of Marcus, and two daughters, Mrs. John Cooney, of Glenwood, Iowa, and Mrs. Ralph Southwick, of Idaho.

Ada Lancaster was born July 18, 1879, at Seney, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Lancaster, being pioneers in Elgin township.

Mrs. Moore was a devoted wife and mother, and was esteemed by a large number of friends and acquaintances.

The funeral was held, Thursday afternoon, at the Methodist church in Seney, and interment made in the Seney cemetery.

OBITUARY

Mrs. C. E. Moore passed away very suddenly at her home in Seney on Monday, January 4. Death was caused by a complication of diseases from which she had been suffering for some time.

Ada Lancaster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lancaster, pioneer residents of Plymouth county, was born July 18, 1879, at Seney, Iowa. She received her early education in the Seney public school, later graduating from a high school course in Sioux City.

On July 22, 1900 (error--August 24, 1899), she was united in marriage with Clarence Moore at the home of her parents in Seney. To this union were born four children, one dying in early infancy.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, C. E. Moore; a son, Floyd Moore, of Marcus, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. John Cooney, of Glenwood, Iowa; and Mrs. Ralph Southwick, of Twin Falls, Idaho; two brothers, James Lancaster, of Faulkton, S. D., and Chris Lancaster, of Mitchell, S. D.; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Wonser, of Unity, Wisconsin and Mrs. T. J. Rees, Mrs. A. McArthur and Mrs. Albert Penning, all of Seney, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Methodist church from early girlhood.
