FALL PROVES FATAL
Elias E. Huxtable Succumbs to His Injuries
RESULT OF FALL FROM BUILDING

E. E. Huxtable, who was hurt last week in a fall, while working on a building at Galva, succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning at the city hospital, where he was brought after the accident. In the fall he suffered concussion of the brain and had thirteen ribs broken and was hurt internally. He was so badly injured that from the first little hope was held out for his recovery.

Elias E. Huxtable was born May 21, 1865, at Mineral Point, Wisconsin, and died in LeMars, May 9, 1918. After attending school he learned the carpenter trade and followed that avocation all his life being known as an efficient workman.

He was united in marriage with Lenora Isabelle Wayne on April 23, 1895 at Beloit, Wisconsin. He leaves to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father, his wife and six children who are: Wayne, who is with the 168th regiment fighting at the front in France; Mrs. Ruth Hines; Mason; Eve; Myrtle; and Boyton of LeMars.

He also leaves a family of brothers and sisters who are John Huxtable of LeMars, W. W. Huxtable of Janesville, Wisconsin, Geo. S. Huxtable of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Mrs. Emma Overturf, of Doland, S. D. who came to see him before he passed away. Jasper Wayne of Waukon, Iowa, father of Mrs. Huxtable and a sister, Mrs. Grace Fairchild, of Elbon S. D., came to with their daughter and sister in her sorrow.

Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Huxtable came to LeMars from Mason City, sixteen years ago to make their home in LeMars.

The funeral will be held at the home on Saturday morning at 9:45, Rev. J. K. Hawkins of the First Methodist church, officiating.

The family has the sympathy of all under such tragic circumstances.
