YOUNG MAN GOES TO HIS REWARD

Francis Ahrens, Aged 16, is Summoned Following a Lifelong Illness

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ahrens, west of town, mourn the loss of their only son, Francis who passed away Tuesday morning, March 14, 1933, at the age of 16 years, 9 months and 27 days.

Francis Gerhard Ahrens was born May 15, 1916, in Union county, S. D., and lived there all his life. When a baby he was stricken with infantile paralysis and thereafter remained totally helpless. He had experienced severe sickness several times, which he survived but on the 25th of last January he was taken with his final illness and gradually declined until the end.

His unfortunate physical condition doubly endeared him to his parents, grandmother and other relatives who have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.

Funeral services will be held Friday, at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran church in this city, conducted by Rev. Fred A. Meske. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery.
