George M. Beach

George M. Beach, 82, Indian Hills Care Center, Sioux City, died Wednesday (Aug. 18, 1982) at the care center after a short illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. The Rev. M. Dwight Walker, of the Moorehead (Iowa) Christian church, formerly of Sioux City, officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery in Akron.

Mr. Beach was born Oct. 5, 1899,, at Akron. A farmer, he lived in the Westfield and Chatsworth areas before moving to Sioux City in 1956. He worked for Goodwill industries in Sioux City for several years.

He married Loie E. Maynard July 12, 1920, in Dakota City, Neb. Mrs. Beach died Nov. 2, 1975, in Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth C. of Vermillion, and Wayne E. of Sergeant Bluff; a sister Lottie Coleman of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
