Note: His mother's maiden name is Milbrodt and his wife's maiden name is Hastings.

August Koch

A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel for August E. Koch.

The 40-year Vancouver resident and retired carpenter and longshoreman died here Wednesday. He was 68.

Mr. Koch was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carpenters Union, Local 1715 and International Longshoremen and Warehousmen’s Union, Local 54. He was born March 9, 1915, in Akron, Iowa.

Survivors include his widow, Wilma, at home; a son, Ken of Hockinson; four daughters, Cheryl Lyons, Nola Graves and Marcia Johns, all of Vancouver, and Sara Herman of Portland; two brothers, Henry Koch of Virginia Beach, Va., and Lowell Koch of Cherokee, Iowa; three sisters, Lorena Gabel and Minnie Borchers, both of Akron, and Evelyn Leaf of Rock Island, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.

The Rev. Eric L. Kallis will officiate. Burial will be at Northwood Park Cemetery.
