Mrs. Herman Koch
Mrs. Herman Koch, 73, Akron, died unexpectedly at her residence Thursday, Feb. 20.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Plymouth Presbyterian church, rural Le Mars, Rev. Charles Kruse officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of the Schroeder funeral home with the Order of Eastern Star service.
The former Elsie Williams, she was born Jan. 3, 1896, at Akron. She was a graduate of the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.
She was married July 21, 1918, at Akron and the couple farmed near Akron until their retirement in 1957 when they moved to Akron. She was a member of the Garden club, Presbyterian church and a 53-year member of Eastern Star.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Donald, Akron; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Wales, Akron, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie (Herman) Koch, 73, were held Monday, February 24, 1969, at 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Presbyterian church, Reverend Charles Kruse officiating. Music “My God and I” and “Abide With Me,” was sung by Mrs. Ralph “Taylor, organist Mrs. James Gabel.
Elsie Williams Koch was born January 3, 1896, at Akron. She was a graduate of the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, On July 21, 1918 she was married to Herman Koch at Akron. Mr. and Mrs. Koch farmed in the Akron area until they retired in 1957 and moved to Akron.
Mrs. Koch was a member of the Garden Club, Presbyterian Church and a 53 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors are her husband, a son, Donald and a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Wales and eight grandchildren, all of Akron.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral home with the Order of the Eastern Star service.
Pall bearers were: Richard Wales, Donald R. Koch, Leon Gabel, Norman Shedd, Jack Borchers and Dennis Wilken.
Honorary pallbearers were: Abe Miller, Victor Taylor, James Gabel, Donald Lucken, Harvey Taylor and Elton Shedd.
