Dale Van Voorst, 77 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his home in Le Mars.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Garden in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dale Arthur Van Voorst was born on April 14, 1947 to Garrett ‘John’ and Arlene (Morehead) Van Voorst in Le Mars, Iowa. Dale worked for over 30 years doing cement and masonry work for Curt Buss in the Le Mars area.
 
In his younger years, Dale enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle with friends from Sioux City. He was a member of the EZ Life Van club and traveled to van meetings and shows. 

He had a shop where he sold and traded baseball cards. He was in the Le Mars Toy Club and enjoyed selling toys at many toy shows and the Plymouth County Fair grounds. He also passed out toys at Christmas time as Santa at the fairgrounds. Dale was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR; he watched many games and races.

Dale is survived by his siblings: Cheryl Quintero of Le Mars, Ken (Marilyn) Van Voorst of Las Vegas, Al ‘Dick’ (Caroline) Van Voorst of Rodney, Iowa; special friend, Carolyn Bennett of Le Mars; nieces and nephews: James (Brandi) Van Voorst, Jeremiah (Jenny) Van Voorst, Lindsey (Alonso) Hernandez, Josh (Mindy) Van Voorst, Becky (Alan) Wieder, Theresa (Bob) Blake, Ann Van Voorst, Corrin Heaton, and Callie Port; great nieces and nephews: Damien, Alonso, Ben, Gerritt, James John, Jessica, Alyvia, and Arebella; sister in law, Judy Van Voorst; and other extended relatives.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, John and Arlene; brother, Ron Van Voorst; niece, Christina Van Voorst; and great nephew, Jonathan Van Voorst.
