Rites Saturday for retired businessman

Harry Kramer of Le Mars, a Remsen native and lifelong Plymouth County native, died Wednesday (June 27, 1990) at Floyd Valley Hospital. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Rev. Msgr. Michael D. Sernett will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home. A scripture wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus rosary and wake service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Kramer was born at Remsen, the son of J. Henry and Dena Feuerstein Kramer. He graduated from St. Mary's high School and Palmer College of Chiropractic. After following this profession for several years, he bought the Keenan Insurance Agency in Le Mars and was an agent until his retirement.

On June 23, 1936, he married Dorothy Ann Keenan at St. James Church in Le Mars, where he served as trustee and secretary for many years.

He belonged to the Trinity Council 1466, Knights of Columbus and Garrigan Assembly of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus; Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Elks Lodge where he was secretary for 27 years.

Mr. Kramer was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

For sixteen years, Mr. and Mrs. Kramer taught ballroom dancing through Western Iowa Technical College.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann; his sister, Sylvia Treinen; his sister-in-law, Roberta Keffeler and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; four sisters, Elizabeth Bohnenkamp, Ann Foley, Charlotte Kramer and Tillie Kayser and seven brothers, John, Joe, William, Fred, Frank, Charles and Robert.
